Sales Director, California

Job Overview:

· Exciting opportunity to come work for a fast-growing, dynamic company in the specialty glass distribution industry

· Selling with a service excellence mindset into the residential and commercial window & door fabrication industry with a variety of glass products,

  fenestration products, and related components.

· Assist in developing and be responsible for executing on the company’s U.S. strategic sales and growth plan

· The successful candidate will be essential in managing both internal and external sales representatives to meet company objectives

· Leverage industry knowledge and expertise to grow existing book of business, as well as develop relationships with prospective customers

· Attend conferences and events as a representative of the company to network and ensure brand exposure and awareness

· The ability to work collaboratively across business lines to work towards common strategic goals


Responsibilities and duties:

· Manage the customer interactions and measure performance of both company sales employees and external sales representatives

· Assist in formulating and be responsible for implementing and executing on company sales strategy, budgets and marketing plans

· Leverage customer relationship management (CRM) software to generate lead tracking, conversion and order generation

· Provide feedback on market dynamics and trends leading to product enhancement and development

· Prepare proposals and presentations to effectively communicate the value proposition of the company


Skills and competencies:

· Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, finance or related discipline (desired)

· 10+ years’ experience in glass or building products sales and business development (essential)

· Ability to think creatively, self-starting and motivated

· Ability to work collaboratively inline with strategic goals

· Leadership and mentoring traits (essential)

· Strong communicator

· Effective time manager when dealing with competing priorities and deliverables

· Familiar and comfortable learning


Relationships:

Successful candidate will work closely with operations and finance to deliver on strategic goals.
