How long have you been working for Coniston? I have been working at Coniston for 14 years.
Do you have previous experience in the glass/fenestration industry, or other qualifications that you are proud of? I have been working in the construction industry for 20 years. After arriving in Canada in 2002, I briefly worked for a company that made art frames. In 2003 I started my own company which specialized in mirror installations and glass. Thereafter, I started working at Coniston and have been working at the company for the last 14 years.
What does a typical work day look like for you? Every day is interesting, and work varies from day to day. Typically, when I arrive in the office in the morning, I check sales for the day, what is going outbound and inbound and organize the day accordingly. I make calls to schedule deliveries and contact customers to ensure orders have been delivered.
In a sentence, how do you think your colleagues would describe you? I think my colleagues would describe me as fun, energetic, and a bit of a perfectionist.
What’s something that you find interesting or enjoyable about working at Consiton or in glass/fenestration in general? What I enjoy about working at Coniston is the people I work with; it is a great team that respects each other and works well together. What is interesting are all the various people from all walks of life that I get to meet and interact with, from the truck drivers to upper management.
Outside of work, what’s something that you enjoy doing? I enjoy spending time with my family, wife and two boys. I also enjoy travelling to pursue my passion, surfing!
